The SPECS Vision-R Remote Monitoring Unit is a central monitoring and alarm panel designed for the Oil Mist Detection System (OMD) installed on marine diesel engines. It continuously communicates with oil mist detectors installed on each crankcase compartment, displaying system status, channel information, and alarm conditions to the engine control room or engine control console.
The Vision-R Remote Monitoring Unit supports up to 12 detector channels via an RS-485 communication network, providing early warning of abnormal oil mist concentrations that may indicate bearing overheating or the potential for crankcase explosion.
