What Is the Skylla-i 24/80 Battery Charger?

On board ship, 24 V DC batteries power emergency lighting, GMDSS and navigation equipment, alarm systems and engine starting. The Skylla-i converts AC from the ship’s mains into a precisely controlled DC charging current, moving automatically through bulk, absorption, float and storage stages so that batteries are charged quickly without being overcharged.

The “1+1” version has one main 80 A output for the service battery bank and one auxiliary output for a starter battery. The unit can also work as a DC power supply, and via its VE.Can (NMEA 2000 compatible) ports it can be networked, monitored and run in parallel with other Skylla-i chargers.
