Beijer E300 HMI
Beijer Electronics AB Model: E300
Refurbished
The Beijer Electronics E300 is a programmable Human–Machine Interface used for operating and monitoring industrial and marine machinery. The photographed unit is programmed for a TeamTec GS 500C marine incinerator and communicates directly with a Mitsubishi MELSEC FX2N PLC.
Its customised keys provide access to the flue-gas fan, burner, diesel-oil transfer pump, sludge heater, sludge pump, solid-waste burning, sludge burning, slagging and alarm functions.

The exact rear nameplate, firmware, hardware revision and installed application program must be verified before supplying a replacement.
The E300 is the operator interface between the engineer and the incinerator PLC. It does not independently control the entire incinerator. Instead, the Mitsubishi FX2N PLC performs the control logic while the E300 displays operating information and sends authorised commands.
According to the GS 500C documentation, the panel is used for:
The TeamTec GS 500C instruction manual identifies the E300 as a 240 × 64-pixel operator panel directly connected to a Mitsubishi FX2N PLC.
The photographed TeamTec application includes indicators for:
The lower function keys are configured for STOP, LOADING/SLAGGING, SOLID WASTE, S/W SLUDGE, SLUDGE, SLUDGE HEATER and SLUDGE PUMP operations.
When the control-panel power is switched on, the E300 loads its programmed project and establishes serial communication with the Mitsubishi FX2N PLC.
The PLC receives signals from temperature sensors, flame detectors, level switches, pressure switches, motor protection devices and other safety equipment. It then controls the burner, fan, pumps, damper and operating sequence.
The E300 allows the engineer to view this information and select the required operating mode. It also displays alarms and helps identify which interlock is preventing operation.
A standard Beijer E300 purchased without the correct application program will not automatically operate a TeamTec incinerator.
A proper replacement normally requires:
Before removing a working panel, the complete application project, recipes and configuration should be backed up whenever technically possible.
The photographed startup screen shows “Searching block 99” and the FX-SERIES SERIAL protocol. If this message remains continuously, check the application project, start-block configuration, PLC power, serial cable, communication settings and FX2N operating status.
Inspect the RS-232/RS-422 cable, connector pins, grounding, baud rate, station number, PLC port and selected communication driver.
Check the 24 VDC supply, fuse, power connector, LCD contrast, backlight circuit and internal power components.
Possible causes include an LCD fault, contrast setting, corrupted firmware, damaged display cable or lost application program.
Inspect the membrane keypad, front overlay, keypad connector and assigned function in the HMI project.
The application project or PLC communication may be faulty. Confirm that the correct project and alarm database are installed.
A failing internal battery, memory problem or incorrect program transfer can affect stored data. Back up all available data before replacing components.
The E300 is part of the incinerator control and monitoring system, but safety must not depend on the HMI alone. Flame failure, high temperature, negative pressure, low sludge level, burner and motor protection circuits must remain operational through the PLC and associated safety devices.
Do not alter temperature limits, burner stages, sludge-dosing values or protected parameters without the correct vessel manual and qualified technical approval. TeamTec also advises that its incinerators require regular maintenance and correct software settings for safe performance.
The Beijer E300 is discontinued, but many vessels continue operating TeamTec GS and OG-series incinerators that were originally supplied with this panel.
Replacing only a failed E300 with a correctly programmed compatible unit may be faster and less expensive than redesigning the complete PLC, wiring, keypad functions and alarm system.
Modern HMI migration is possible, but a Beijer E1032, X2-series panel, Mitsubishi GOT or another HMI should not be considered a direct plug-in replacement. The original project must be recreated and every control, alarm and safety function must be tested.
Is the E300 a PLC?
No. It is an HMI/operator terminal. The pictured application communicates with a Mitsubishi FX2N PLC.
Is this panel used with the TeamTec GS 500C?
Yes. The key labels, display structure and FX-Series protocol match the documented GS 500C E300 operator-panel application.
Will an ordinary E300 work immediately?
No. It requires the correct TeamTec application program, communication driver and configuration.
Can the program be copied from the old panel?
It may be possible when the panel, serial ports and memory are still operational and the project is not protected. A backup should be attempted before the unit completely fails.
Can the E300 be upgraded to a modern HMI?
Yes, but it requires an engineering migration rather than a simple replacement. PLC addresses, screens, alarms, function keys and safety operation must be recreated and tested.
What information is required for a quotation?
Send photographs of the front and rear nameplates, incinerator model and serial number, E300 firmware screen, Mitsubishi PLC model, communication cable and any available program backup.
